• Are they a part of a larger company?
• What is their website like?
• What type of contracts do they have? (e.g. no win, no fee)
• Where is the location of the office?
• Do they provide training or not?
• Are they registered with the REC?
• Do they have a good reputation?

By accumulating this information you can ascertain your competitors strengths and weaknesses. Thus, find an area of weakness that your recruitment agency can exploit and make an opportunity out of. For instance, you may compete with another recruitment agency on price. By offering one of their clients a lower price for the same level of service.
