When recruitment agencies are recruiting for companies and they are looking for permenant staff they are paid a finders fee only when the the company recruit the person they put forward.
Normally, companies and recruitment agencies will negotiate a finders fee. This can vary tremendously but you need to be careful when you are starting up your own recruitment agency that you do not accept a low finders fee.
All negotiations start off at 25% and then work there way down, you must ensure that you never go lower than 10%.
If you do it will not be worth your while because you need to take advertising costs and your own valuable time into consideration!
